Wadlata includes the regions accredited Visitor Information Centre which has a large range of books and maps, can provide all your touring information for you stay in Port Augusta and for you trip ahead. With its large gift shop and the popular Outback Tuckerbox, Wadlata is your first “must see” stop.

Port Augusta, Flinders Ranges & Outback’s Visitor Information Centre is nationally accredited and is a major component of the Wadlata Outback Centre. We are committed in ensuring you receive accurate, unbiased information required for your stay in Port Augusta and the wider region, on time, first time and every time. You will find out what’s on, what to do, what to see, where to go, where to stay, where to park, shop and where to eat. All those things you do not know about when you visit somewhere new.
Our local happy, friendly but professional staff will book your accommodation, a tour; provide internet access, some National and Desert Parks Passes. Wadlata has a huge array of books, maps and gifts for sale. Extensive information is available on the Flinders Ranges & Outback, Eyre Peninsula, Western Australia & the Northern Territory including all other regional state Visitor Guides.
The Outback Tuckerbox cafe makes great coffee with most food, containing local ingredients, is made on site. Wadlata’s, “Tunnel of Time”, having won six State Tourism Awards is the only interpretive centre for the Flinders Ranges & Outback of South Australia. Wadlata is a massive information resource not duplicated anywhere else and must be your starting point for your stay in the Region.
